Larry K. Knill, 76, of Felton, peacefully entered into rest on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital.
Born on January 14, 1949, in Baltimore, Maryland, Larry was the son of the late Russell Thomas, Sr., and Gladys Ada (Icenhour) Knill. A graduate of Patterson High School, Larry was drafted into the U.S. Army shortly thereafter, proudly serving his country before being honorably discharged. Following his military service, Larry pursued a career in the trucking industry, working for several companies before retiring from the Maryland Postal Service.
Larry had a passion for music and was often described as an "encyclopedia of knowledge" when it came to his vast musical interests. Known for his generosity, he also enjoyed working on old-time radios and electronics, as well as spending time behind the wheel of a truck.
Larry leaves his sisters, Brenda L. Yaeger and husband, Charles, of Felton; Dawn M. Hipkins and husband, Tom, of Rising Sun, MD; and his brothers, Frank C. Knill of Felton, Terry A. Knill and wife, Jackie of South Carolina; of Francis Eugene "Gene" Knill of Essex, MD; and Russell Knill, Jr. of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Edward "Eddie" Knill and Michael P. Knill, and his sister, Barbara L. Keplinger.
A viewing for Larry will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, beginning at 10:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, with Pastor Joshua Wargo of Chapel Church officiating. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
