Linda Lou Herman, age 67, of York, died peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Born in York on December 10, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Roger Herman and the late Mettie (Smith) Eveler. She was the loving companion of Juan Martinez, with whom she shared many wonderful years.

A devoted homemaker, Linda cherished time spent with her family. She was a loving caretaker to her mother and a devoted grandmother who found great joy in caring for her grandchildren. Christmas was especially dear to her, and she always made sure to have a little something for everyone. She also enjoyed spending time on her computer and playing online games.

In addition to her companion, Juan, Linda is survived by her son, Joseph L. Herman, and his wife, Shauna; their children, Andrew and Alesha Herman, and their families; her daughter, Angela M. Herman; Angela's children, Lorraine Martin, Jordan Black, and Kaylani Hoch; and her grandchildren, Juan Martinez, Jr., Eden Martinez, and Carmen Martinez, and their families. She was preceded in death by her companion, Jacinto “Pap” Torre.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 3070 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
