Linda Lee (Norton)
Thomas
November 29, 1946 – June 1, 2026
Linda Lee (Norton) Thomas, 79, of York, entered into rest at WellSpan York Hospital on Monday, June 1, 2026. She was the devoted wife of Ronald J. Thomas, with whom she married on January 29, 1967.
Born in Baltimore on November 29, 1946, Linda was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Evelyn Marie (Jones) Norton. Throughout her life, she embraced a variety of professional roles. Of all her accomplishments, she was especially proud of her work as a nurse at the Lutheran Home in Shrewsbury, where she found great fulfillment caring for those in need. She also worked as a project manager for McCormick Companies and, during her time living in New York, taught English as a Second Language, helping others build confidence and opportunity through education.
Prior to relocating to New York to support Ron's career, Linda served her community as a paramedic with the Eureka Fire Company. Her commitment to caring for others extended far beyond her professional life. She was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. In later years, she provided comfort and end-of-life support to several individuals she knew personally.
Linda and Ron enjoyed traveling together, particularly in their younger years. They cherished exploring the scenic beauty of the American West and visiting national parks.
In addition to her loving husband, Ron, Linda is survived by her son, Jeffrey N. Thomas and his wife, Roxana, of Ellicott City; and her beloved granddaughters, Daniela N. Thomas of New York and Sofia I. Thomas of Ellicott City. She was preceded in death by her siblings.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 3070 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
