Obituary

Linda S. (Wilson) Huffaker, of York, entered into rest peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 5:30 pm at Yorkview Nursing and Rehab at the age of 75. She was the wife of the late John R. Huffaker, who died on October 19, 2016.

Linda was born on March 8, 1950, in York, to the late Charles Leroy and Dolores Jean (Donagher) Wilson. She graduated from Dallastown High School, class of 1969, and dedicated her life to being a homemaker. As a trucker's wife, Linda traveled extensively with her husband, John, while he was on the road.

Linda had a passion for playing cards, and she was a frequent participant in poker and Texas Hold'em tournaments at San Carlo's & The Hop, where she was often a winner. She also enjoyed playing pool and was a skilled player.

She had a deep interest in Native American culture, music, and style, and she cherished learning about their history. Linda also enjoyed playing video games, including those on her computer, and she was very crafty. She loved working on needlepoint projects and crocheting. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.

Linda's favorite band was Journey, and her love for her family was boundless. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Wendy J. White and her husband, Steve, of Stewartstown; Leilani J. Ewell and her husband, Christopher; Teresa M. Haugh and her companion, Michael D. Hershey, Sr., of Brogue; and Danielle N. Henry and her husband, Brian, Sr., of Dillsburg. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Steven, Cameron, Morgan, Travis, Brittany, Montana, Xavior, Lucas, Janie, Kaleigh, and Logan, along with six great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters, Dawn Martinez, Dru Allen, and her brothers; Mike Wilson, and Todd Wilson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by four siblings.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
