Obituary

Lois R. (Overmiller) Flinchbaugh, formerly of Red Lion, went from life to Life Eternal on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:40 am at Manor Care Kingston Court at the age of 102. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Flinchbaugh who entered into rest on January 5, 2003. Lois was born on April 9, 1915 and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Jennie (Grove) Overmiller. Lois' family came from Switzerland. She attended the Hake's one-room school in Felton. She worked at J.C. Winters Cigar Factory and others in the area and at Solid State Controls, machining timers for cars and circuit boards, from where she retired. She was a member of Red Lion Bible Church and enjoyed playing cards at the Red Lion Senior Center and also Lion's Pride Restaurant. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and jig saw puzzles. She was very active in water aerobics and drove her own car up to age 99. She was the mother of Gary L. Flinchbaugh and his wife Margaret of Red Lion and Diane K. Anderson and her husband Ross of York. She was the loving grandmother to; seven grandchildren, Scott and his wife Hope Flinchbaugh, Selena and her husband Ralph Neely, Sherry Mitchell (Swope) and Charles Swope, Ted and his wife Lisa Flinchbaugh, Melissa Robinson, Lynne Anderson and her husband Chad Callanan and Craig Anderson and eleven great grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband Jeremy Goodling, Janelle Flinchbaugh, Johnathan Flinchbaugh, Eden and Juda, Lisa and her husband Troy Viands, Lyndi Falcon and Joshua Lighty, Heather Mitchell, Tim Flinchbaugh and companion Emily,and Nicole and nineteen great great grandchildren, Taylr, Skylr, Adysn, Edyth, Dejah Wood, Kyrie, Leela, Pierce, Jack, Carley, Liam, JJ Falcon, Isabella Falcon, Sawyer Lighty, Juliet Lighty, Dominic, Donivin, Jayden Michael Robinson and Gabriel Lee Scalici and his father Michael. She has numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia J. Flinchbaugh in 1934, her son, Lonnie L. Flinchbaugh in April, 2003 and a great grandson, Shaun Mitchell in June of 2013 and seven brothers, Percy, Paul, Marvin, Harold, Guy, Dale and Carroll Overmiller and three sisters, Estella Hannigan, Betty Runkle and Mary Kocher. Viewing will be on Monday, April 2nd, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Red Lion Bible Church, 105 Springvale Road, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Lois will begin at 10:30 am at the church with her pastor, Rev. Steven A. Schmuck officiating. Burial will be private at Yorkanna Cemetery. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway Red Lion, will be assisting the family with the arrangements. Lois was a wonderful Mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and keeping active. She was a friend to everyone she met and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
