Lon Alan Fisher, age 80, of Brogue, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Born in York on April 30, 1946, he was the son of the late Franklin E. and Sadie E. (McKinsey) Fisher. He was the loving husband of Darlene (Miller) Fisher, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage, having wed on April 18, 1982.

For many years, Lon and Darlene worked side by side running their salvage hauling and home clean-out business. Their business was a big part of their lives, and the years they spent working together were a special part of the life they built as husband and wife.

Lon enjoyed spending time along the Susquehanna River, whether boating, fishing, or simply sitting in a chair watching the water go by. He also enjoyed hunting in the river hills and on Weise Island. Above all, Lon treasured time spent with his family, who meant so much to him.

In addition to his wife, Lon is survived by his daughters, Melissa S. Bell and her husband, James, and Amy Marie R. Gold and her husband, Matthew; his grandchildren, Alex, Jordyn, Ayla, Holden, Mason, Trevor, Alexis, Shane, Lucas, and Lorelai; and his siblings, Nevin Fisher and Darla Kaye Simpson and her husband, Mike. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Fisher, and his sisters, Ruth Brown, Bettie Lou Fourhman, and Tonya Foutz.

A graveside service to celebrate Lon's life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Pine Grove Presbyterian Cemetery, 4263 Delta Road, Airville, with Pastor Patti Bream officiating.
