Lucille G. (Morrison) Lutz, of Springvale, went home to her Lord and Savior when she heard him call her name, on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 1:20 pm at the Victorian Villa in Dallastown, at the age of 90. She was the wife of the late William H. Lutz who entered God's care on December 16, 2014.
She was born in Green Valley, West Virginia on June 6, 1931, and was the daughter of the late James Leonard and Sally Belle (Crouse) Morrison. Lucille was a homemaker, raising her children and working on the family farm since the age of 19. She also was employed by the Red Lion School District, working in the cafeteria. She was a longtime member of Springvale United Methodist Church and she worked in the nursery of the church. But most of all, being with her family and taking care of them was her pride and joy.
Lucille and William raised four sons, William K. Lutz and his wife Leah of Millsboro, DE, Steven L. Lutz and his wife Carol of Red Lion, Jeffrey C. Lutz and his wife Chris of Red Lion and Gregory B. Lutz and his wife Martha of Red Lion. She was the loving grandmother and great grandmother to: Matthew W. Lutz (Jill P.) of Red Lion, Michael R. Lutz (Diane J.) of York, Eric J. Lutz of Bensalem, Jennifer A. Hasbrouck (Chip) of Corry, PA, Stephanie L. Blevins of Red Lion, John W. Lutz (Madeline) of Brogue, Jesse C. Lutz (Jessica) of Red Lion, Nichole L. Edis (Jason) of Lancaster, Adam J. Burtis (Cidney) Columbia, Alanna R. Burtis of Dover, Evan P. Burtis of Hellam, Austin G. Lutz (Laura Hamlin) of Centerville, VA, Brandon T. Lutz (Colleen) of Brogue, Finn P., Rowan W., Alden J., all of Red Lion, Elijah M., Owen D., Avery J. all of York, Alexis H. "Lexy", Lindsey G., Landon I., Lucille J. "Lucy", all of Corry, PA, Ayden J., Isaiah S. and Emily E. all of Red Lion, Boone A. of Brogue, Josephine L. Lutz of Red Lion, Alexander F. Edis and Benjamin H. Edis both of Lancaster, Violet V. Lutz of Brogue, Chelsi N. Absolon (Lucus) of Woodbridge, VA., Bryce P. Martino (Rylie) of Stewartstown, and Sebastian C. Martino of Red Lion. Lucille was one of nine children, she is survived by her three brothers, Oscar Morrison of GA, Ray Morrison of Maryland, and Eugene Morrison of York along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter in law, Lisa A. (Diehl) Lutz, and siblings, Louise Hash, Geneva Simmons, William Morrison, James Morrison, and Gary Morrison.
Family and friends are invited to extend condolences on Wednesday, July 7th, from 10 to 11 am, at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Lucille will begin at 11 am at the funeral home with her pastor, Rev. Larry Parlett officiating. Burial will follow the service at Zion United Methodist Cemetery on Felton Road.
