Madaline G. (Lentz) Knaub, of Red Lion, accepted the hand of her Lord and Savior, when she heard him call her name on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 4:55 pm from Pleasant Acres Nursing Home, at the age of 96. She was the wife of the late Gordon D. Knaub to whom she married in 1946, celebrating 39 wonderful years together until his passing from life to eternal life on April 1, 1985.
She was born in York, on December 26, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Martin O. and Anna L. (Dickey) Lentz. Madaline was a homemaker, taking care of her husband and their children. She was a longtime member of the New Life Fellowship Church. She loved to watch the birds, gardening, baking cookies for her family and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother.
Madaline and Gordon had six children, Terry G. Knaub and his wife Glenda of York, Barry E. Knaub of York, Shirley Ann Frey of Red Lion, Peggy Lee Marino and her husband Tony of Red Lion, Thomas Allen Knaub and his wife Joann of Felton and Penny Sue Dietz and her husband Rick of Red Lion, with whom Madaline lived with for years. She was the doting grandmother to nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren. Madaline also leaves numerous nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her eight siblings.
Viewing will be on Thursday, September 15th, from 6-7 pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Madaline will begin at 7pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jane Reheard and Pastor Ned Miller officiating. Burial will be in Canadochly Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Madaline was a blessing to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a "Good and Faithful Servant of her Lord and Savior", who will be greatly missed by everyone. Every day, she would say her prayers before going to sleep, and she made sure to include everyone in her daily prayers.
