Marie French, age 53, of Lower Windsor Township, York County, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of her loving family. Born on January 31, 1972, in Baltimore, MD, she was the cherished daughter of Rosa (Clark) Alford and Hector Candelario Sr., and the late Floyd Gilmer Alford. Marie was the devoted wife of James French, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of love and partnership since their marriage on September 12, 2003.

Marie had a heart for caregiving and found fulfillment as a certified nursing technician. Later in life, she discovered her greatest joy—being a stay-at-home Ya-Ya to her beloved grandson, Messiah. Nothing brought her more happiness than nurturing him and embracing the laughter and wonder of his childhood. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Dallastown, PA, and found serenity in the simple pleasures of home, where she poured her heart into crafting, especially with her cherished Cricut machine.

Marie's love and light will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind—her devoted husband, Jim; her beloved mother, Rosa, and stepfather, Hector Sr.; her daughter, Victoria, the pride of her life; her son, Bryan, whom she adored; her precious grandson, Messiah, who was the center of her world; her brothers, Jody and his wife, Sinia, and Hector Jr. and his companion, Jocelyn; her cherished nephews, James, Nathaniel, Sebastian, and Gavin; and her treasured nieces, Faith and Destiney.

Though her physical presence is gone, Marie's spirit will forever shine in the lives she touched. A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Saturday, March 29th from 12-3pm at The Dobbin House, 89 Steinwehr Avenue Gettysburg, PA 17325, where family and friends will gather to honor her love, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.
