IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary E.
(Keller) Shoff
October 17, 1934 – August 29, 2024
Mary E. (Keller) Shoff, of Red Lion, entered into rest peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the age of 89. She was married on October 11, 1952, to Harold "Pap" Charles Shoff, who died on December 8, 2020. Born on October 17, 1934, to the late Russell McKinley and Margaret Pauline (Miller) Keller, Mary attended the Canadochly one-room schoolhouse and spent much of her life working on her family's farm before joining her husband on their 48-acre farm on Shoff Lane in Wrightsville. Mary was a tireless worker, tending to the fields and caring for a variety of animals, with a special fondness for cows. She took pride in canning fruits and vegetables from her large "truck patch" and managed numerous chores, including milking cows, separating cream, making butter, collecting eggs, and raising ducks and chickens, which she dressed and sold to many in Craley and East Prospect. She was a lifetime member of Canadochly Lutheran Church. In later years, Mary found joy in tending to her flower beds, loved assembling puzzles, and enjoyed crocheting. She also cherished her walks with her dog, Molly. A dedicated member of both the Craley and East Prospect Fire Departments, Mary was a proud participant in Craley Days, where she delighted in making crab cakes and soup.
Mary leaves her daughters, Phyllis Ann Brown and husband, Donald of Wrightsville, Carolyn Elizabeth Rojko and husband, Frank of New Springfield, Ohio, and Donna Jean Kossman and husband, D. Gregg of Red Lion and her son, Bradley Dennis Shoff, Sr. of York. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Diana Thoman of Wrightsville, Randy Brown and wife, Tammy of Seven Valleys, Wendy Ottinger and husband, Doug of York, Bradley Shoff, Jr., Jason Shoff, Andrew Shellenberger and wife, Kim of Ellington, Connecticut, Leah Shellenberger of Crofton, Maryland and Crystal Kossman of Red Lion. She leaves her great-grandchildren, Emily, Amber, Lauren, Matthew, Ben, Mitchell, Grace, Isaac, and Levi. She was preceded in death by her sister, Viola Mae Herbst on February 8, 2022 and her foster brother, Clyde Kunkle.
