Mary Jane "JJ" (Kirk) Martin, of Red Lion, went to her eternal home at her residence on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the age of 86.
Born in Shelby County, TN on May 4, 1935, Mary was the daughter of the late James Garland Kirk and Novacine (Reynolds) Kirk. Jane graduated from McKenzie High School and was employed as a medical secretary throughout her career. She loved doing her crossword puzzles, spending time on Facebook, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, both of which she watched regularly and rarely ever missed. A petite woman, JJ was known as a "sparkly little shopper" who loved to bargain hunt any chance she could get. She was an avid University of Memphis Tigers Fan and enjoyed flowers of all kinds. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McKenzie, TN.
JJ is survived by her daughters, Lynne White, of Red Lion, Lisa Wagner and husband, Billy, of Uvalde, TX, her son, Kirk Martin and wife, Amy, of Bartlett, TN.
She also leaves her grandchildren, Cameron (Jake) Kuczynski, Nathan White, Jordan Martin, Will (Lana) Wagner, Kyle (Cye) Wagner, Lauren (Jason) Wooldridge, Katie (Kevin) Lafferty and Brian (Dawn) Pleasants. As well as, her great grandchildren, Carys and Layne Kuczynski, Patton, Lorelei, and Worth Wagner, Davis and Conrad Wagner, Eli Wooldridge and Liam Lafferty, Paige and Elliott Pleasants, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leigh Henderson in 2001, her two sisters, Ann Cozart and Patty Stambaugh as well as her brother, Bill Kirk.
Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Memorial Service of Honor and Praise for Mary will take place at a later date in McKenzie, TN.
