RED LION Mary L. (Lentz) McGuigan, 77, entered into rest after a brief illness at 4:52 a.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Manor Care Health Services-South. She was the wife of George McGuigan, who entered into rest on November 22, 1993. Born in York, on March 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Paul Lentz and Pauline (Kornbau) Emig. She worked at New Concept in Emigsville as an assembler, retiring in 2009. Mary was a member of American Legion Post #543 Red Lion Ladies Auxillary. She is survived by two stepsons, Michael K. McGuigan of York and his wife, Carol, and Mitchell R. McGuigan of Dallastown and his wife, Janell; four stepgrandchildren, Christie Bear, Tara Klein, Abbie Kendig, and Samantha Vega; and two step great-grandchildren, Brittney and Brandon Bear. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Lentz and John Emig. There will be a viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, followed by a 2 p.m. service at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The Rev. Roger H. Mentzger, pastor of Bethlehem U.M. Church in Dallastown, will officiate. Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
