Melvin M. Glatfelter, 88, of Airville, passed away on September 30, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 30, 1935 in Glen Rock to the late Vernon C. and Grace I. (Wilhelm) Glatfelter. In addition to his wife Helen of 37 years, he is survived by three sons, Donald, Daniel, Steven and four daughters, Barbara, Joanne, Linda, and Connie. He leaves his two stepchildren, Barry and Melissa along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves his one brother, Curtis.

Melvin graduated from Susquehannock High School in 1953 and farmed in Airville for 50 years.

A viewing for Melvin will take place at McKendree Faith Church, 3708 Delta Road, Airville, PA 17302 on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service for Melvin will begain at 11:00 am with Pastor James B. Shuler officiating. There will be a luncheon after the service in the fellowship building. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
