Michael Paul Lanius, of Dallastown, entered into rest on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the age of 42. He was the husband of Vanessa (Mcfall) Cabezas whom he married on February 13, 2024.

Mike was born in York on December 17, 1981 and was the son of Larry Charles Lanius of Red Lion and Kandi L. (Snyder) Stetler of Wellsville. He was a graduate of Dallastown High School and was employed as a corrections officer with York County Prison. Described as a wonderful husband and father to his children, Mike will be fondly remembered for his commitment to his family. He never hesitated to help anyone in need, enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially football, and was a faithful fan of the Baltimore Ravens.

Besides his wife and parents, Mike leaves his stepson, Jakob D. Cabezas, his infant son, Elijah M. Lanius, both of Dallastown, and his daughter, Taylor Anderson of Red Lion. He leaves his sisters, Angie M. Lanius and Jennie N. Lanius, as well as his two sisters-in-law, Sydny E. Fry and husband, Michael of Dallastown and Alicia E. Scott of York, along with his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A viewing for Mike will take place on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A funeral service for will begin at 2:00 pm with his minister and friend, Albert Blouse III officiating. Burial will follow in Dallastown Union Cemetery.
