Miranda Nicole Funk, 19, entered into eternal rest at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2014. She was born in Baltimore, Md., on May 26, 1995, and was the daughter of Gary B. Funk and stepmother, Renee Fleming of Felton, and Rhonda J. (Villagaray) Funk and stepfather, Rick Habrial of Red Lion. Miranda worked at Spencer's and attended the Art Institute of York. She was a graduate of Red Lion High School Class of 2013. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Ethan Ryan Funk of Red Lion; three stepbrothers, Chris Habrial of Bethlehem, Reed Fleming of Felton, and Cale Fleming of Felton; a stepsister, Chloe Fleming of Felton; paternal grandmother, Elaine E. (Schneider) Funk of Baltimore, Md.; aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her kittens, Nala, Marley, and Simba. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Faustino Vallagaray and Betty Jean Vallagaray; and her paternal grandfather, Arthur H. Funk. There will be a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 9, at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Miranda will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home to be followed by cremation. Pastor Steven C. Almquist, of Living Word Community Church in Red Lion, will officiate. Miranda was a very loving, kind hearted, beautiful young lady. She loved art, music, camping, animals, and going to the beach and ocean. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and relatives.
