Muriel "Judy" (Gillen) Fallert, of Dallastown, PA, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital.
Born August 24, 1942, to the late George and Hazel Gillen of Lincoln Park, MI.
Judy is survived by her husband, Richard Fallert of Dallastown, to whom she was married for 61 years; her daughter, Lynnette Fallert Baker, and husband, Christopher Baker Sr., of Dallastown; and her son, Christopher Fallert of Dallastown.
She is also survived by two sisters, Patty Reckinger of MI and Beverly Johnson of CA, and her brother, George Gillen of MI. Her sister, Doris Brown of NC, preceded her in death.
Judy has five grandchildren: Stephanie Thompson of Red Lion; Ryan Nace and wife, Lindsay, of Red Lion; Kaylee Crook and husband, Gage, of TX; Christopher Fallert Jr. of MD; and Christopher Baker II and wife, Samantha, of Dover, PA.
Through her grandchildren, she is survived by 11 great-grandchildren: Octavius Thompson, Olivia Thompson, Sydney Nace, Stella Thompson, Bishop Thompson, Christopher Baker III, Cayleigh Baker, Cameron Baker, Lincoln Crook, Zachary Crook, and Lilly Crook.
Judy had a deep love for her family, and spending time with them was her passion. She was the rock and glue that held her family together. She was an avid reader and loved her game shows. She was a member of the Dallastown American Legion Post 605 Ladies Auxiliary.
Judy always saw the good in all people. Her last words to her family were to be kind to everyone. She loved to cook and spent a great deal of time watching cooking shows—her family was surely the guinea pigs for taste testing. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date, not yet determined.
