Nancy L. (Witmer) Shaw, of Felton, entered into rest at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the age of 84. She was the wife of the late John S. Shaw who died on November 7, 2008.

Born in Springvale on October 26, 1939, Nancy was the daughter of the late Lloyd Sr. and Mary Romaine (Eckert) Witmer. She was a devoted housewife and loved indulging in her word finds, savoring the drama of a good soap opera and raw oysters. She loved animals of all kinds, watching Western's and took pleasure in the great outdoors where she enjoyed fishing. Nancy was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Brogue.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Sandra L. Study and husband, Vance Sr. of Spring Grove, Mary S. Mobley of Felton, Debra K. Shaw and companion, Emory Swartz, Jr. of Red Lion, Lori A. Ridenour and husband, Ron of Lewisberry and Cindy L. Deppen of York. She will be missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her sisters, Jean "Jeannie" Stokes and husband, Randall of Wrightsville and Darlene Belnap and husband, Dale, Sr. of Windham, Ohio, as well as her brothers, Preston Witmer of Wrightsville and Lloyd Witmer, Jr. of Red Lion. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald E. Deppen, her brother, Donald Witmer and her sisters, Christine Mellinger, Diane Witmer and Patsy Ann Witmer.

A viewing for Nancy will take place on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 am with her pastor, Chris Starr, officiating. Burial will private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nancy's name may be offered to the York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
