Norma R. (Helder) Williams, formally of Stewartstown, entered into rest on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at 5:15 a.m. at The Haven at Springwood at the age of 87. She was the wife of the late Jack H. Williams, who entered into rest in 2001. Norma was born in York on January 15, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Earl Levi and Evelyn (Sprenkle) Helder. Norma was a homemaker. She was also a member of the National Poets Society. She is survived by three daughters, Linda L. Trout and husband Jackie of Felton, Sandy A. Green of York, and Tina N. Herr and husband Randy of Dallastown; one son, Michael L. Williams of Airville; five grandchildren, Heather Noll, Ivy Brown, Jeremy Trout, Selina Robinson, and Jarvis Green III; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Janice Miller; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Dottie. A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Norma will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Jeffrey L. Warner, Chaplain of Gentiva Hospice, will officiate. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Alzheimer's Association GPA, 3544 N. Progress Avenue, Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Norma loved to draw and write poetry. She enjoyed horseback riding and trips to the beach.
