Norman "Tom" Charles Thomas, 78, of Street, Maryland, died on Thursday, August 21, 2025, while on a cruise in Alaska with his sister and great-niece.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 31, 1947, the son of the late Henry Charles and Clara Viola (Latta) Thomas.
He was a man of deep, abiding faith in Jesus as his Savior and a man of prayer. As he faced many difficult medical issues, he always trusted God with the situation. In his home church in Maryland, he taught Sunday school and served as a deacon. After moving to Pennsylvania, he became a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Stewartstown. Tom served in the United States Navy during the end of the Vietnam War. He was a travel agent and enjoyed traveling the world, visiting all seven continents. He loved spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his sister, Verla Evans; two nephews, Matt Evans and his wife, Jenn, and Mark Evans and his wife, Harmony; his niece, Hannah Schneider and her husband, Jonathan; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Tom will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Wagner-Elfner and Harkins Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania. Burial will be private in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
