Pamela J. (McNew) Hivner, of Red Lion, accepted the hand of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 3:20 pm with family by her side from her residence at the age of 79. She was the wife of Steven M. Hivner of Red Lion to whom she married on May 3, 1986, celebrating 36 wonderful years together.
She was born in York, on December 1, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Thomas R. C. and Mary J. (Young) McNew. She worked for the former General Defense as a machine operator until her retirement in 2011. Pamela loved being outside, taking care of her flowers, and spending time with her family. She was a United Methodist.
Besides her husband, she leaves three children, Ronald Mundis of Windsor and his wife Judy, Shelly Poff of Red Lion and Tim Mundis of Hellam, along with two stepchildren, Jill Hivner of Dallastown and Brendon Hivner of Red Lion. She was the loving grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Pamela also has two siblings, Kris McNew of Red Lion and his wife Luann and Abby Lindecamp of Florida and her husband Brian, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Riley in December 2021 and her brother, Thomas McNew.
Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
