Patsy Mae (Smeltzer) Holtzapple-Miller, of Yoe, went to her eternal home from Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center during the early morning hours on Friday, June 7, 2024 at the age of 81. She was the loving wife of Norman H. Miller, Jr., whom she married on January 1, 2007.

Patsy was born in York on January 23, 1943 to the late Alvin "Pete" Smeltzer and Pauline E. (Miller) Smeltzer. Over the course of 35 years, Patsy drove for Reliance Student Transportation, safely transporting thousands of children to their designated schools and always with a smile on her face. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren. During her free time, she enjoyed watching hockey and football. Patsy was a member of Bethlehem Life Church.

Besides her husband, Patsy leaves her daughter, Tara Moore of Red Lion, her stepdaughters, Jennifer Van Ormer (Lee) of York and Stephanie Ritter (Tim) of Chesterfield, VA, her granddaughters, Courtney Snell  (Aaron) of Dover and Jade Gross of Red Lion, her grandson, Harrison Holtzapple of Sunbury, her great-grandchildren, Hank Snell, Kayson Gross, and Kassius Harris, her sister, Christine Vasellas of Red Lion, and her brother, Kerry Smeltzer of Red Lion. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Patsy was preceded in death by her son, Scott Holtzapple as well her brothers, Merle and Barry Smeltzer.

Condolences for Patsy will be received on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 11:30am to 12:00pm at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, followed by a funeral service at 12:00pm with Larry Markel officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
