Paul L. Grove, 95, entered into rest after a brief illness at 12:35 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Manor Care South. Paul was the husband of E. Mae (Grove) Grove, who entered into rest on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. They were married for 71 years. He was born in Felton, on June 18, 1917, and was the son of the late Levi S. and Bertha J. (Hanigan) Grove. Mr. Grove was an inspector at the former Cole Steel in York. He was a lifetime and vey faithful member of Bethany U.M. Church in Felton, where he was very active serving as a Sunday School Teacher and Lay Leader. He loved hunting, fishing, roses, and photography, but most of all he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren, and the time they all spent together. Surviving are one son, Max E. Grove of New Park and wife, Amy; one daughter, Lucy J. Heymann of Hilton Head Island, S.C., and husband, Ronnie; four grandchildren, Angela Boose of Spring Grove, Kate Stine of New Park, John Grove of Windsor, and Sara Snyder of Red Lion; two great-grandchildren, Allyson and Tyler Stine; one great-great-grandson, Chance Boose; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. There will be a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethany United Methodist Church, 121 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethany United U.M. Church, Red Lion. His pastor, the Rev. Christine C. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery on Felton Road with full military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, will be handling the arrangements.
