Paul Grant Ours, of Brogue, passed from this earthly life and began his eternal life with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 2:18 AM from Wellspan York Hospital at the age of 94. He was the loving husband of Pauline (Miller) Ours to whom he married on October 5, 1949. He was born in Virginia on February 15, 1928, and, was the son of the late Emory G. and Hazel (Blevins) Ours. Paul was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He worked for 39 years at Safeway Stores, prior to retirement. He was a quiet man and was an artist, working with stained glass. He loved spending time with his family, eating candy and watching cartoons. Paul was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in York for 52 years. Besides his wife Pauline, he leaves a granddaughter, Sarah J. Baumgardner and her husband, Troy of Concord, NC. He was the great grandfather of Lydia and Paul Michael Baumgardner. He also leaves his son-in-law, Rev. Dr. Michael Walker of Chambersburg, PA. Paul was one of nine siblings, leaving a brother and three sisters along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melinda S. Walker, on March 19, 2014. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Memorial Service to Honor and Praise Paul's life will begin at 2 pm on Sunday, April 24th, at First Baptist Church, 3375 Druck Valley Road, York, PA 17406, with his pastor, Rev. Timothy Munson, and his son-in-law, Rev. Dr. Michael Walker, interim pastor at Windsor Church of God, officiating. A time for sharing memories and fellowship will take place after the service. Burial will be private and, at a later date in Windsor Church of God Cemetery.
