Penny L. (Ewing) Kane, of Felton, went to be with her Lord on November 19, 2024, at the age of 66. She was the wife of Leo M. Kane, whom she married on July 3, 1992.

Penny was born on November 29, 1957, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, to Ruth (Keifer) Ewing of Perryville, Maryland, and the late Carl Ewing. She dedicated over a decade as an assistant manager at Weis in Red Lion and had previously worked in the housekeeping and janitorial industry.

A woman of deep faith, Penny will be lovingly remembered for her remarkable ability to recite nearly any Bible verse and for her unwavering love for the Lord. Her life reflected her devotion through her many passions, including sewing, quilting, canning, and baking. Penny's heart was full of love for her jug, "Gracie," and she cherished peaceful walks along the beach and time spent by the ocean.

She was also a former member of the Perryville American Legion, proudly serving in the Ladies Auxiliary. Penny's memory will live on as a testament to her faith, her creativity, and the joy she brought to the lives of those around her.

Besides her husband, Penny leaves her brothers, Wayne Ewing of Missouri, Daniel Ewing of Northeast, Maryland, and Jimmy Ewing of Elkton, Maryland, along with her sister, Kathy Davis and husband, Harvey of Perryville, Maryland. She also leaves her nieces and nephews. Penny was preceded in death by her daughter, Maleana S. (Mitchell) Rager and her son, Michael P. Mitchell.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
