Rae E. (Eveler) Miller of Delta accepted the hand of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 5:15 pm, at her residence, with family by her side, at the age of 85. She was the wife of Jerome R. Miller of Delta, to whom she married on October 10, 1953, celebrating 68 years together. Rae was born in York, on January 20, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Samuel A. and Grace N. (Haugh) Eveler. She worked at the York County Court House, where she was a supervisor at Domestic Relations for 22 years, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family. She and Jerome were drivers for the Amish community, she enjoyed embroidering, volunteering at the Airville Volunteer Fire Company and going to their cabin in Galeton, PA. Rae and Jerome have six children: Rae Ann Miller of Delta, Jerome Miller, Jr., and wife Cindy of Delta, Ronald E. Miller and wife Kim of Delta, Lonnie L. Miller and wife Amy of Delta, Steven A. Miller and wife Leisa of Delta and Bonnie S. Crouse and husband Roger of Delta. She was the loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren and great grandmother of fourteen. She was one of four children, leaving her sister, Ruth Flaharty of Morrisdale, PA., and was preceded in death by her two brothers, Samuel Eveler, Jr., and Donald Eveler. Rae has numerous nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Rosalie Eveler of Red Lion. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ronni Miller on October 28, 2013. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 14th from 6-8 pm, and Friday, April 15th, from 10-11 am at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The Service of Honor and Praise for Rae will be on Friday, at 11 am, with Rev. James Shuler, interim Presbyterian pastor, in Lancaster, officiating.
