IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ray Franklin
Fuller
September 15, 1942 – April 6, 2025
Ray Franklin Fuller, Jr., of Dallastown, gently took the hand of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 3:03 a.m., when He called his name and ushered him into His Heavenly Kingdom at the age of 82. Born in York on September 15, 1942, Ray was the cherished son of the late Ray F. Fuller, Sr., and the late Jean N. (Smith) Fuller. He was the devoted husband of the late Kay Ann (Markel) Fuller, who preceded him in death on December 21, 2020.
A proud 1961 graduate of William Penn High School, Ray went on to serve his country with honor in the U.S. Army, stationed at the Third Army Printing Plant at Ft. Benning, GA. After his military service, he dedicated 30 years of his life as an assembler at Caterpillar, Inc., retiring in 1996. His compassion extended beyond his career, as he volunteered at Clearview Elementary School from 1988 to 2005, making a lasting impact on the children and the community.
Ray's faith was central to his life. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Freysville since 1988 and an active participant in the church's Open Circle Class. His devotion to service also extended to his membership in the Clearview Elementary School PTO and the UAW, Local #786. Whether traveling on a cruise, camping under the stars, or helping guide young people, Ray found joy in life's simple pleasures. He held a special place in his heart for Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang, whose spirit of resilience mirrored his own.
Ray leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished by those who were closest to him. He is survived by Sandra Enfield and her husband Steve, whom he embraced as a daughter and son-in-law; his beloved granddaughter, Lauren; and his sisters, Carol Keeney and her husband Robert, and Marla Grossman and her husband Rick.
A celebration of Ray's remarkable life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Emanuel Lutheran Church of Freysville, 2650 Freysville Rd, Red Lion, with Pastor Paul Frank officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Rose Cemetery, where Ray will be honored with Military Honors by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A viewing will take place at the church on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in Ray's memory be made to the Dr. Eugene Segro Scholarship, c/o Red Lion Area School District, 696 Delta Road, Red Lion, PA 17356.
