Obituary

Richard J. Williams, age 85, of Red Lion, formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, and Jacksonville, Florida, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Born in Baltimore on October 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Flora Williams.

Richard worked in the real estate and claims departments for the B&O Railroad until his retirement. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served his country with honor. A lifelong Baltimorean at heart, he loved spending time on the Chesapeake Bay, where he enjoyed crabbing and fishing. He also looked forward to hunting on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Richard took great pride in caring for his vehicles and believed in keeping them in excellent condition.

Above all, Richard's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted father who could always be counted on for his daughter, Denise Hamilton, and his son-in-law, Don. His steady presence, quiet strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Williams.

Services for Richard will be held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are entrusted to Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. Condolences may be shared at www.wagner-elfner-burg.com.
