Robert C. Arnold, formerly of Red Lion, went to his eternal home on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the age of 82, from the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown with his loving wife by his side. He was the husband of Joyce (Slenker) Arnold, whom he married on August 4, 1962.

Bob was born on November 15, 1941, in New Bridgeville, to N. Glenn and Lois (McDonald) Arnold. He spent his early years attending the Gipe one-room schoolhouse. In 1959, he graduated from Red Lion High School. Following high school, Bob pursued further education at Thompson's Business School and later York College. His professional journey began in 1965 when he started working at Farmers & Merchants Bank, where he earned the position of assistant cashier just two years later, in 1967. Bob furthered his expertise by attending the Pennsylvania School of Banking, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bankers' Association, at Bucknell University, where he received recognition through a Dale Carnegie award.

Bob's dedication to community service was evident through his active membership in various organizations. As a devoted Mason, he was a long-standing member of the Red Lion Masonic Lodge #649, where he served for over 55 years. He was also deeply involved in environmental and civic activities, serving as a director of the York County Conservation Society. Additionally, Bob was an engaged member of the Red Lion Fire Company, New Bridgeville Fire Company, and Craley Fish and Game Club. Bob was also a member of the Hopewell Chapter 199, York Council No. 21, and York Commandery No. 21. A man of faith, Bob attended Grace Lutheran Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Randall C. Arnold, and daughter, Jody L. Webb and husband, Lee. He leaves one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard G. and Luther M. Arnold.

A visitation for Bob will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, beginning at 10:00 am at Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion.
