IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rodney Wayne
Schock
November 17, 1952 – March 5, 2025
Rodney Wayne Schock, 72, of Windsor Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, after a long and courageous battle. Born on November 17, 1952, in Highville, Lancaster County, he was the beloved son of the late Wayne and Pauline (Peters) Schock. Rod was a devoted husband to Margaret N. "Peggy" Schock, sharing 40 wonderful years together.
Rod was the proud owner and operator of Preston Truck Caps of York. He had a deep love for sports, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and following his favorite NASCAR driver, Ricky Rudd. More than anything, he cherished time spent with his family, especially trips to the endless mountains of Potter County, where he found joy in camping and riding four-wheelers.
Rod is survived by his loving wife Peggy, his son Steve Schock, his daughter Amanda Coby and her husband Chris, his brothers Dennis and Dwayne Schock, his sister Brenda Melhorn, and his four adored grandchildren: Adam, Jacob, Eric, and Lillian. He is reunited in peace with his brother Darryl and his beloved grandson Thomas Coby, who preceded him in passing.
A memorial service to honor Rod's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Wagner-Elfner & Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Family and friends are invited to a viewing at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 PM until the time of service.
