Roger K. Markle, II of Brogue, went from this earthly life to begin his eternal life with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 3 pm, from Wellspan York Hospital, at the age of 64. He was the son of Roger K. and Shirley Ann (Shive) Markle of Brogue. He was born in York, on April 6, 1958. Roger worked hard as a young man on the family farm, doing chores before and after school. He graduated from Red Lion High School Class of 1976. He worked for Certainteed Roofing Products for approximately three years and then moved to Connecticut where he was a boiler repairman, working for 31 years, until his retirement in 2018. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed spending time with family and doing things around the homestead. Besides his parents, Roger leaves his two brothers, Robert K. Markle and his wife Shirley of Shirleysburg, PA and Ronald K. Markle of Brogue, and a sister, Cindy Anderson of Felton. Roger was the loving uncle to Kristi and Walter Paczkoskie of Loganville, Tiffany Larkie of Felton, Stephanie Robson of Windsor and Adriane Markle of Shirleysburg, PA. and great uncle to Marcus and Mason Larkie, Walter and Chase Paczkaskie and Jayden Taylor. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mark Anderson. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, PA. Services and burial will be at Salem Union Cemetery in Jacobus and will be private, at the convenience of the family.
