Rose M. (Laucks) Shelly, of Craley, went from this life to her eternal home on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 8:52 pm from Promedica Kingston at the age of 79. She was the wife of the late, Gary A. Shelly who passed in October of 2009. She was born in Windsor on August 23, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Luther (Jake) and Catherine (Fitzkee) Laucks. Rose worked in various positions with the former Wilton Armetale in Wrightsville before retiring after 35 years of service. She was a people person and loved to chat with anyone she met. She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Kerry Flinchbaugh of Red Lion, Lon Shelly of Wrightsville, Shanda Morton of Wrightsville. She was the loving grandmother of several grandchildren. Rose was one of fourteen children, Cathryn Tomlinson of York, Sylvia Laucks of York, and Nathan Laucks of Red Lion and, Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her ten siblings, James, Levere, Donald, Verne, Marlin and Wayne Laucks, Lucille Smith, Faye Ann Laucks, Barbara Crumling and Patricia Henson. Visitation will be on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 6-7 pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Rose will begin at 7 pm at the funeral home with words of comfort given by a family member, Aaron Flay.
