Ruth June (Poff) Lentz, of York, entered into rest at Autumn House West on June 16, 2024 at the age of 87. She was the wife of Carl E. Lentz whom she married on April 7, 1956.

Ruth was born in York on June 4, 1937 and was the daughter of the late George and Lottie (Shearer) Poff. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles. She loved watching television, particularly General Hospital. Ruth loved watching baseball and attending church picnics. She was a member of Spry Church in York.

She will be missed by her son, Ronald Lentz of The Villages, FL; her daughter, Sharon Kenney and husband, Jeffery of York; granddaughter, Michelle Youcheff and husband, Scott of York. She leaves her great-granddaughter, Lily Youcheff of York. She leaves a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly. Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Cartwright; brothers, Leo Poff, Philip Poff, and Joseph Poff.

Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion is assisting the family with arrangements.
