Samuel Sheridan Lewis, Jr., of Red Lion, entered into rest at his home with his loving wife by his side on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 10:05 PM at the age of 80. He was the husband of Florence V. (Caza) Lewis to whom he married on November 7, 2015, sharing 13 years together, 6 of them as husband and wife.
He was born in Mount Joy, New Jersey on September 14, 1941 and was the son of the late Samuel Sheridan Sr. and I. Hester (Thompson) Lewis. Sheridan was am Alumni of the University of Arizona where he played in the marching band and played in the first ever SuperBowl. He was member of the Red Lion Masonic Lodge Free and Accepted Masons #649 for over 50 years and a member of Zembo Temple Shrine, where he played in the band, along with the Red Lion, Felton, and Spring Garden Band as well as several other bands. His two instruments of choice were the clarinet and the saxophone. Sheridan member of Bethany United Methodist Church of Red Lion.
Besides his beautiful wife, Sheridan leaves his daughters, Josephine A. Milano and husband, Chris Hake, of Dover and Jacqueline C. Caza-Steere and husband, Philip Steere, as well as his three grandchildren, Ava and Caden Hake and Giada Steere. Sheridan also leaves his cousins and a very close and dear family friend, Kris Baker, of Red Lion.
Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., A Memorial Service of Honor and Praise will take place at a later date in the Spring of 2022. An announcement will be made with the service information.
Contributions in memory of Sheridan may be offered to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, PO Box 1525, Ranson WV 25438.
