YORK Samuel "Sam" L. Miller, 69, entered into rest unexpectedly on Friday, August 24, 2012, at 8:31 p.m. at York Hospital. He was the husband of Connie R. (Reisinger) Miller, who entered into rest on January 20, 2006. Born in York County on September 27, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles I. and Eleanor R. (Zeck) Miller. He was a mechanic and attended Prayer Mission Church. Sam is survived by a son, Chris E. Miller of Wrightsville and his wife Beverly; two daughters, Jody L. Miller of York and Jackie L. Miller and husband, Brian Umholtz of Dillsburg; two grandchildren, Keith Keller of York and Samantha Miller of York; a great-grandson, Cash Keller of York; and one brother, Jim Miller of Windsor. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Clyde Miller. There will be a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The service begins at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David D. Tietje, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ in Red Lion, officiating. Burial will be in Yorkanna Cemetery.
