Sandra R. (Geist) Mellott, 80, of Red Lion, peacefully entered into rest on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 2:02 pm at WellSpan York Hospital.

Sandra was born on March 6, 1944, in York and was the daughter of the late Robert C. Sr. and Betty J. (Disney) Geist. A proud graduate of York High, she went on to dedicate over 40 years of service to the former Osram Sylvania. Sandra was known for her love of animals of all kinds and her vibrant, social personality.

She is survived by her sons, Shane Mellott and Richard Herbst Jr., both of Red Lion, and Troy Herbst of York. Sandra's memory will also be cherished by her two grandchildren, her brother, Brad Geist of Oklahoma, and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert C. Geist Jr.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
