Sara M. (Mundis) Mackentire, 94, passed peacefully at her home on Friday, March 20, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late James Mackentire.

Sara was born in York on September 29, 1931, daughter of the late Paul P. and Pauline C. (Jacobs) Mundis.

Sara graduated from West York High School. She worked at York Hospital and JC Penny’s. Sara enjoyed playing bingo and going to casinos. She traveled on many trips throughout her life but especially loved spending time in Ocean City, Maryland with her family. Whether at the shore or simply out together for dinner, she found her greatest joy in being surrounded by those she loved. Sara lived her life to the fullest and will be greatly missed.

Sara is survived by her son, Raymond Haugh; two daughters, Kathy Fuhrman and her husband, Rob, and Jean Williams and her companion, Vandy Akin; four grandchildren, Byron Fuhrman, Brianne Fuhrman, Cody Williams and his wife, ShiLyanne, and Kyle Williams and his wife, Lisa; and four great-grandchildren, Aadyn, Ace, Ayla, and Jasper.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held by her children.
