Shannon Ilene Kauffman (née Barley), 81, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Born on January 27, 1945, in York, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William H. Barley, Sr. and Laura Jean (Boyer) Barley.

Shannon was the beloved wife of Palmer P. Kauffman, Sr.; loving mother of Wayne E. McSwine (Maryanne), Donna J. Armstrong, and Tina M. Bailey (Todd); and stepmother of Palmer P. Kauffman, Jr. (Laurie), Beth A. Kuhn (John), and Timothy W. Kauffman (Kelly). She was preceded in death by her stepson, Mark A. Kauffman.She is also survived by her brothers, William H. Barley, Jr. and Gregory K. Barley; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her extended family, John and Chris Burns; and many other loving family members and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Yoe Union Cemetery, Apple Valley Drive, Yoe, Pennsylvania 17313.Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 3070 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
