Sharon L. (Heffner) Brown entered into eternal rest after a brief illness on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, at her residence, at the age of 60. She was the wife of Claudie W. Brown of Wrightsville. Sharon was born in Stewartstown on February 8, 1955, and was the daughter of the late Benjamin C. and Viola J. (Bortner) Heffner. Sharon graduated from Kennard Dale High School Class of 1972. She worked for many years as a sales associate at Walmart. Surviving besides her husband is a daughter, Sherry S. Bailey (Doug) of Wrightsville; two grandchildren, Isaiah and Isabella Bailey of Wrightsville; four sisters, Beverly Heffner, Betty Watkins, Lori Miller, Shirley Grove, all of York; and four brothers, Terry Heffner of Millmont, Dennis Heffner of Wrightsville, Ronald and Roger Heffner, both of York; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric; three sisters, Barbara Waltemire, Brenda Adams and Iva Schmuck; and one brother, Calvin Heffner. A Viewing will be held Friday, Aug. 14 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The Service of Honor and Praise for Sharon will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Judy L. Sawmiller, pastor of Jubilee Outreach Ministries in Red Lion, will officiate. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, 2102 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. Sharon and Claudie were married on October 7, 1974, celebrating 40 years of marriage. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
