Shirley J. (Keller) Moore of York entered into rest on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 3:21 p.m. at her residence at the age of 70.
She was the wife of John Moore to whom she married June 4th, 1960 and celebrated 49 years together.
Shirley was born in Hellam on March 6, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Harvey and Missouri (Dellinger) Moore.
She was a homemaker and worked for a short time at Pantry Pride. She was a member of Windsor Assembly of God where she was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed camping, gardening, working with children and avid at crafts. She loved to bake especially her fruitcakes that she sent around the world.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 5 children, John Moore Jr. of York and wife Jodi, Naomi Hughlett of Manchester and husband Curtis, Rachel Frey of Red Lion and husband, Robert, Paul Moore of Virginia and wife Jenny, Joseph Moore of Virginia and wife Kim; 7 grandchildren; one great granddaughter, one brother, Harvey Keller of York and and wife Rosemary, 4 sisters, Dorothy Lehman of York, Annamary Brenner of California, and Gloria
Maxwell of Florida, and Jean Myers of Deboise, PA and husband Charles.
