Shirley A. (Staub) Thoman of York entered into God's care on Friday, December 11, 2020 at her residence at the age of 86. She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Thoman who entered into rest on April 30, 2016. She was born in Hanover on April 6, 1934 and was the daughter of the late F. Clair and Berndyn E. (Hertz) Staub. She graduated from York Catholic High School, class of 1952. Shirley and her late husband were the owners and operators of the New Way Dry Cleaners for 18 years. After that, she worked at the Small Steps Daycare in York for 5 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in York for 10 years. Shirley was an extremely sweet person who loved spending quality time with her family. She leaves a sister to cherish her memory, Dolores M. Staub of Dover and a niece who was a great helper to Shirley, Debra A. Wagner and her husband John of York, along with numerous other nieces and nephews. Viewing and services for Shirley will be private and at the convenience to the family, with her pastor, Rev. Gregory Wahlberg officiating. Burial will take place at Jefferson Cemetery.
