Stephen Bradley Dunlap, 60, died on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. He was the husband of Michelle M. (Smeltzer) Dunlap, sharing 39 years of marriage.

Stephen was born in York on January 11, 1966, son of Harold A. “Tony” Dunlap, Sr. and Carol A. (Shenberger) Dunlap.

Stephen worked for D.H. Funk and Sons as a heavy machine operator. He took great pride in his cooking, especially when it came to barbecuing and smoking meats, and his delicious food was enjoyed and loved by everyone who had the pleasure of trying it. Above all, Stephen cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him great joy. He also loved spending time snuggling with his beloved dog, Daffodil.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three children, Zachary Dunlap, Bree Dunlap and her significant other, Eric Medina, and Trentyn Dunlap; four grandchildren, Charlee Dunlap, Noah Dunlap, Nora Medina, and Rory Medina; sister, Jody Dunlap and her husband, Steven Smith; brother, Harold A. “Chip” Dunlap, Jr.; and his mother-in-law, Brenda Smeltzer. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dale Smeltzer.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Fireside at the Fiddlers, 1448 Main Street Ext., Brogue, PA 17309.
