Steven Henry Snyder, Sr., of Wrightsville, entered into his rest at his home on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the age of 62. He was the dear friend and longtime companion of Kimberly Shaffer of Dallastown. Born in York on October 14, 1959, Steve was the son of the late William H. and Mary Z. (Lake) Snyder. He was a machine operator with Tate Access Floors until his retirement in 2011. Steve enjoyed hunting, playing his banjo and working on vehicles. He was an animal lover and a family man who loved fishing & being outdoors. He was a people person who always loved helping anyone in need. Steve leaves his six children: Shawn D. Orlowsky and wife, Lori, of Dover, Serina L. Gile, of Tioga County, Susan M. Baldwin and husband, Kevin, of Brogue, Sheree M. Warner and husband Scotty, of Red Lion, Stacy L. Snyder, of Windsor and Steven Henry Snyder, Jr., of Wrightsville. He also leaves behind his twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. Steve was one of eight siblings. He leaves behind his four sisters: Linda Flaharty, of New Bridgeville, Sandra Alder, of Brogue, Kathy Freeland, of Yorkanna and Laura Parke and husband, Gary, of Manheim, as well as his two brothers: William Snyder, of Windsor, and Brian Snyder and wife, Melissa, of Craley, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Shenk in May 2021. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Services and Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
