Obituary

Thomas L. Emenheiser, of Thomasville, entered into rest at Wellspan York Hospital on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the age of 81. He was the husband of the late Margurite "Maggie" A. (Gustafson) Emenheiser who died on December 27, 2012.

Tom was born in York on March 23, 1942 to the late Emory Jacob and Maude Irene (Smeltzer) Emenheiser. He worked as a mechanic for the former Campbell Chain and retired after 10 years of service from Hanover Brands as a tow motor operator. He loved animals of all kinds, hunting, and fishing. He was a skilled dart thrower, enjoyed a cold beer, and was known for making random connections with strangers throughout his everyday travels.

Tom leaves his five stepchildren, his step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Cook in 1991 and his sisters, Nancy, Audrey and Suzanne.

Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Pleasant Grove East End Cemetery. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion is assisting the family with arrangements.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Wellspan York Hospital for the care & compassion shown to their family and Tom during this time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered in Tom's memory to the York County SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17408.
