Thomas Herbert Moore, of York, went from Life to Life Eternal on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 5:35 AM at Manor Care South at the age of 82. Thomas was the husband of Tamara J. (Sharp) Moore to whom he was married on July 8, 1976, celebrating 45 years of marriage together. Thomas was born on February 11, 1939 in Somerville, NJ and was the son of the late Gordon Moore and Mary (Barna) Stroud. He was also the stepson of the late James B. Stroud. He graduated from Somerville High School, class of 1957 and served in the United States Military for 30 years, retiring from the United States Air Force in Hawaii. After his retirement, he drove for Shimmel's, Penn Waste, and worked at Wolfgang Candy. He also worked at the former K&K Dodge. Thomas enjoyed fishing, jigsaw puzzles and was an avid reader. He was a member a local American Legion and Veterans of Foreign War. Besides his wife, Tamara, Thomas leaves behind his two sons, James G. Moore and wife, Kamila, of Marietta, David T. Moore and wife, Deedra of Dallastown, three daughters, Tracy Rhoades and husband, Cliff, of Boise Idaho, Kimberly Mehl and husband, Randy, of Tucson, AZ and Wendy Hunt of Idaho. He also leaves behind his fourteen grandchildren: Jason, Amanda, Brittany, Samantha, Rebecca, Brianna, Dakota, Nick, Alabama, Jackson, Quinley, Emmalyn, Sofia and Samuel, as well as one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, Kelly Moore. A time of fellowship to Celebrate Thomas's life will be held on August 22, 2021 at Rocky Ridge Park, 3600 Deininger Rd, York, PA 17406, at the White Oak Pavilion at 1:00 PM. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Burial will private and at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
