Timothy J. Flohr, of Windsor, entered into rest at Wellspan York Hospital on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the age of 76. He was the husband of Betty Ann (Hazell) Flohr, whom he married on his birthday in 1966.
Tim was born on November 19, 1947, to the late Richard H. and Esther D. (Wagner) Flohr. He was a proud graduate of Dover High School, Class of 1965 where he also was a sectional wrestling champion and at one time, was on the "all time wins list". He began his career as a machinist apprentice before joining the former Borg-Warner, now Johnson Controls. Tim dedicated 30+ years to the company, eventually retiring as a manufacturing engineer, where his skills and commitment left a lasting impact. Tim had a lifelong passion for the outdoors, finding solace and joy in nature's beauty. Whether he was hunting in the woods, or fishing, crabbing and clamming by boat, being outdoors brought him a sense of peace and fulfillment. He also enjoyed working on his tractor and tending to his land. A man of strong faith, Tim was a devoted and active member of Canadochly Evangelical and Reformed Church where he served as an elder earlier in his life.
Besides his loving wife, Tim leaves his sons, Bryan T. Flohr and wife, BethAnn of Dover and Michael R. Flohr and wife, Tracy of Windsor. He will be missed by his granddaughter, Haley L. Flohr and companion, Gerardo Zambrano of Texas, as well as his great-granddaughter, Natalia Zambrano of Texas. He leaves his sisters, Mary Chronister of Dover, Patsy Coleman and husband, Tex of Dover, Nancy DeHoff and husband, Louie of Dover, and his brother, Steve Flohr of Dover.
A time to visit with friends and family will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 am at Canadochly Evangelical and Reformed Church, 4845 E. Prospect Road, York, PA 17406. memorial service will begin at 12:00 pm with his pastor, Rev. William Barral officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be offered to his church, Canadochly Evangelical and Reformed Church, 4845 E. Prospect Road, York, PA 17406.
