Vicki R. (Ruby) Raymond entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at York Hospital at 1:43 a.m. at the age of 71. She was the loving wife of John E. Raymond to whom she married in 1963, celebrating 51 years of marriage. She was born in York on August 8, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Philip and Hazel (Roberts) Ruby. She was a homemaker and attended several United Methodist churches. Survivors include her husband, John; two daughters, Lorine Kellner (Jerry) and Megan Raymond all of Wrightsville; two grandchildren, Brody and Aspen. There will be no viewing. Family and friends may extend their condolences on Tuesday, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, followed by cremation with burial to be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to American Cancer Society , 924 N. Colonial Ave, York, PA 17403; or to the Susquehanna Senior Center, 2427 Craley Road, Wrightsville, PA 17368. Vicki was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends and she was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
