THOMASVILLE Virginia R. (Gracey) Richards, 83, entered into rest after a brief illness on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at 3 a.m. from ManorCare Health Services South. She was the wife of the late Frank Richards. She was born in Brogueville on June 19, 1927, the daughter of the late George and Emma H. (Swartz) Gracey. Virginia was a homemaker. She was also an United States Army Veteran, serving during WWII. She is survived by one sister, Edith M. Fisher of York; several nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Betty Gracey of Dover. There will be no viewing. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is handling the arrangements. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Virginia's life on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Road, Dallastown. Pastor Rick Fischl of Codorus Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
