Vivian Faye (Mitzel) Burkholder accepted the hand of her loving Lord and Savior, on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 5:52 PM from Wellspan York Hospital, after suffering a fall at her home. She was 90 years old. Vivian was happily married to Vincent B. Burkholder, who passed from this life to eternal life on November 10, 2020. She was born in Chanceford Township, on November 16, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Bertrum Mitzel and Eva (Rife) Mitzel Tome. She was a homemaker, and a longtime member of the former Prayer Mission Church in Craley. Vivian and Vincent had three children, Nancy Ware of Dover, and Donna King and her husband Ronald of York and Rodney Burkholder of Frackville. She was the loving grandmother of seven grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She also has two stepsisters, Kay L. Ream of York, and Joyce, D. Kauffman of Colorado along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Burkholder and her son-in-law, James Ware. Viewing will be on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Vivian will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home, with Rev. Steven A. Schmuck, pastor of Red Lion Bible Church, officiating. Burial will follow the service at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
