Obituary

Wilbur Henry Latshaw III, 63, died on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at UPMC Memorial. Wilbur was born at Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital in North Carolina on January 10, 1962, son of Wilbur Henry Latshaw, Jr., and Barbara A. (Ettinger) Latshaw of York.

Wilbur graduated from Eastern York High School and attended Windsor Assembly of God. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool and bowling, had a lifelong love of motorcycles and Elvis Presley, and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens.

In addition to his parents, Wilbur is survived by three siblings: Cathy Ann Latshaw of New Oxford; Melissa Oberdick and her husband, Rob, of Hanover; and Daniel Henry Latshaw and his wife, Jamie, of Hellam; an aunt, Doris Gift of Greencastle; an uncle, Richard Latshaw, Sr.; a cousin, Cindy Devaney; five nieces, Samantha Griffin and her children, Leo and Coraline; Devon DiGiovanni and her husband, Nick, and their four boys; Alistar Latshaw, Courtney Latshaw, and Nicole Latshaw; a nephew, Austin DiGiovanni; his best friend, Bryan Bixler; and his beloved caregiver, Sherrie Lachapelle.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Windsor Assembly of God, 21 N. Penn Street, Windsor, with Pastor Chris Golembiowski officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.
