Wilbur W. Leiphart of Hellam, entered into eternal rest after a lengthy illness on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 5:10pm at York Hospital at the age of 95.
He was the husband of the late Janet M. (Young) Leiphart who entered into eternal rest in 1982.
Wilbur was born in Craley on June 8, 1921 and is the son of the late Hartman H. and Eva M. (Kline) Leiphart.
He worked at Teledyne McKay Chain for 35yrs, retiring in 1984. He was a member of VFW – Hellam, Post 7045 and served as a United States Army Airforce Veteran during WWII.
He is survived by his 5 children, Brenda I. Frey and her husband Lamar of Windsor, Marguerite J. Blymire of Hellam, Debra J. Paules and her husband Ronald of York, Michael E. Leiphart and his wife, Vickie of Hellam, Sharon K. Robinson and her husband Brian of Wrightsville; 12 grandchildren; 30 great granchildren; 10 great- great grandchildren; brother, Calvin Leiphart of Dallastown; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Delores "Gin" V. Graham; 5 siblings, Ray Leiphart, Clifford Leiphart, Donald Leiphart, Charlotte Paxson, and Dorothy Reisinger.
Viewing will be on Thurs., Dec. 8th from 6-8 pm and on Friday from 10 – 11 am at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Wilbur will be on Friday, Dec. 9th at 11 am at the funeral home. Pastor Anthony Zumbo of Windsor Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
